The Leadership camp is sponsored by the Kodiak Island Borough School District and the Native Village of Afognak. The camp is located at a rustic campsite nestled in a spruce forest between a lank and an ocean beach. During this camp, Alutiiq teens ages 13-17 learn from local Alutiiq professionals how to survive in society today, what it means to be a tribal leader, and some of the career opportunities available to them. Participants engage in various culturally driven activities and talking circles.
